Aria's first word was dada. She said it for awhile before she actually associated Joel as being dada but it still counts. It was a few LONG months before she finally said momma! These days Aria is quite the little chatterbox. Her babbling sentences are getting longer with one or two real words thrown in. She uses sign language to say more, all done, bath, please, thank you and she pats her bottom when she wants her diaper changed. She has her own signs for swing and she does the mountain or airplane pose when she wants to do yoga. She usually finds a way to communicate what she wants through words, signs, pointing or the occasional stomp and cry. It has been amazing watching her language develop. We are already having to spell things out so she doesn't understand us. If she hears us say bath she will insist that she needs to have one! Here are here first 25 words in no particular order
baba (my mom goes by baba not grandma)
quack quack (duck)
and of course "no"
