Here is a long overdue brief synopsis of what Christmas 2013 looked like for us:

My favorite Christmas decoration is the advent calendar that always hung in the front room at my grandparents house.

My family get together hosted at my cousin Megan's house.

Aria and Isaiah snuggled up on the couch during the Hansen Family get together.  The pasties were delicious, the cousins playing together were adorable and the love we felt for each other filled the room.

Going out for a delicious Italian dinner and games with the entire Cizzarelli family our first evening in town.

Reading the Christmas story and opening presents with family.

Sewing with Nana.

Playing with Nana's supplies reminded me of all the hours playing with my grandmas sewing stuff during my childhood.

having a sleepover with Shawn while she was home for the holidays.

This is the quilt I made her for Christmas.  Since I can't be in Guatemala to hug her in person she can wrap up in the quilt anytime she needs a hug.

This is the kitty that I crocheted Aria for christmas along with the hair bows she is wearing above.

We enjoyed a lovely Christmas season.  It was low key and full of time with the people we love!
