How is this possible! My itty bitty baby girl isn't so itty bitty anymore! Aria is still just the sweetest baby. She is loved by everyone she meets! She is growing and learning so fast! I am loving watching her explore and learn about the world around her. Thankfully she isn't moving around yet as we have lots of baby proofing to do!
I love playing with Aria. It has been so fun watching her learn how to use her toys. Previously play time consisted of me putting toys in her hands or shaking them in front of her but now she actually interacts with them. She loves her jumparoo and we love watching her jump! She still enjoys her play gym. It is funny watching her roll around in it now where she always just laid there and looked at herself in the mirror before. Now she is reaching for all of the hanging toys and playing on her tummy. She also loves the music that her toys make and she always whines when the music shuts off.
Eating this month is pretty much just like last month. She eats 5-7 ounces of breastmilk/formula five times a day. We have tried giving her rice cereal once and she just spit it all out. We will try that again soon. She is still on a 3 hour schedule of eating, playing and napping. She usually sleeps from 9:30-7:00. Aria currently has two teeth on the bottom. She is wearing 6 month clothes and 9 month pajamas. I think she weighs about 15 pounds.
We have been very busy this month!
*This month we had lots of visitors. Both sets of Grandparents came for different events. Here is Aria with my mom and step-dad and then with Nana and Papa.
*We dedicated Aria at church. It was such a blessing to have family and friends be able to join us as we committed to raise Aria in the church and teacher her about God's love.
*Aria had lots of quality time with her daddy while I enjoyed a girls weekend away in Chicago!
I had such a great time with Tahnee, Sofia and Liesl. I can't stop thinking about the amazing food at this restaurant! I want to go back and eat there again as soon as possible! We ate, danced, saw a dance performance, went shopping, walked the dogs along the lake and had fun catching up. After two and a half days away I was ready to get home to my baby!
*We went trick-or-treating with friends around the neighborhood. We didn't collect any candy because that would have been awkward but I am never one to miss out on an opportunity to dress up! Aria was the cutest little strawberry and Joel was our "sugar daddy"! I decided that I didn't want to freeze in my Dorothy costume so I just wore halloween colors and decided to be the "baby momma".
*We went on a family date out to Loring Pasta Bar. The food was delicious but the best part was the live jazz band called "Cornbread Harris and His Quintet". This isn't a great picture but we had so much fun that I have to include it to help me remember that night!
*Here she is sleeping all wrapped up in the quilt I made for her. I don't usually wrap her up in a blanket while she sleeps but she was in the craft room with me and it was cold upstairs. She spent a lot of time playing up there with me this month as I prepared for the launch of ThreadJoy and got ready for my first craft fair.
*Aria joined us as we voted and stayed up way past our bed times to watch all of the election coverage. Obama was re-elected to serve a second term as president.
*We had a sleepover with Melody. It is sweet to see Mel playing with and loving on her little cousin.
If you are keeping track you probably realize that Aria will be 6 months old next week! I like to do each month's post at the end of the month so that I can include pictures of what we did and post about how she is developing! I can not believe she is almost half a year old!
